Maui morning

 . .. ...  Maui summer morning, sun and breeze ~
Gentle stimulation, perpetual ease.
Drifting clouds of Tradewinds flow ~
From around Haleakala, to the West Hills go.
Through the Central Valley opposite spin ~
From along the Southside, up through and in.
Converging directions mix again ~
Swirling patterns that twist and bend.
Ah the peace, traffic slows ~
The rush to work, eases the go.
Patience at Paia, red light halt ~
No ones fault, just the way, a via.
Speed bumps up, off and on ~
Into town, different directions spawn.
Here and there, motorway faire ~
come and go, long distance or near.
Maui movement, air and earth ~
Soon be burning, sunshine scorch.
Pull off the road, to the ocean ~
Chilling immersion, calm cool tide.
